DOWNTOWN. Part of a small, historic steakhouse chain, Hy's is something of a Toronto institution, and it is a lovely place to enjoy a special night out. Perfectly aged steaks are the draw, with several cuts and preparations available, from an expertly charcoal broiled NY strip to a more elaborate filet mignon topped with crab and hollandaise. The Cajun spice rubbed ribeye is a winner, but one of the most popular choices is prime rib served with Yorkshire pudding.
